Amends the Social Security Act to allow nurse practitioners and physician assistants to satisfy Medicare’s documentation requirement for coverage of certain therapeutic shoes and inserts for people with diabetes. The change expands who may certify/document medical necessity so eligible Medicare beneficiaries with diabetes can more easily obtain covered therapeutic footwear.
