Referred to the House Committee on Ways and Means.
This bill changes the TANF program so states must spend at least 25% of their federal TANF funds on helping people work. The money would have to go to things like work supports, education and job training, apprenticeships, short-term emergency help, case management, and other approved work activities that help people make and follow a work plan.
These changes would start on October 1, 2026.
