Designates an "American Families Month" and expresses the House’s view that stably married mothers and fathers and the traditional nuclear family produce the best outcomes for children and society. It cites studies and findings about family stability, notes falling marriage rates, calls for policies to support nuclear families and remove barriers to family formation, and urges public awareness and action to strengthen stably married families.
The resolution is a nonbinding, symbolic statement: it praises marriage and family stability, encourages policies and public outreach to promote family formation, and does not create new programs, funding, or legal requirements.
Referred to the House Committee on Education and Workforce.
