State and local election officials receive federal assistance to plan and run ranked-choice voting (RCV) elections, making it easier for jurisdictions to implement accurate RCV processes and training.
Taxpayers (through the federal budget) may face new costs to fund RCV assistance, grants, or program administration.
The Election Assistance Commission and state/local election offices will incur short-term implementation burdens to update guidance, outreach, training, and administrative processes to support RCV.
