It might only be Tuesday evening, but Republicans have sent us home early because they are fighting to make a bad bill even worse. Here’s what happened:

DOGE promised efficiency. Instead, they laid off thousands of dedicated public servants only to turn around and rehire many of them. Russ Vought and Elon Musk slashed through our civil service with a dagger leaving workers, families, and agencies to deal with the consequences.
