This bill keeps a federal tax credit for fuel cell energy systems in place for eight more years. It lets people and businesses get back up to 30% of the cost of qualified fuel cell equipment if construction starts by the end of 2032, instead of ending after 2024 as under current law. The change takes effect for projects that begin construction after December 31, 2024, by moving the cutoff date in the tax code from January 1, 2025, to January 1, 2033.
