This bill stops the federal government from putting import taxes (tariffs) on common baby sleep items like cribs, toddler beds, mattresses and bedding, bassinets, cradles, and baby monitors when using emergency economic powers. It also ends any such tariffs already in place once the bill becomes law. If similar tariffs on these same items are tried under another law, they would not count either.
In short, it aims to keep these baby products free from extra import charges, which could help keep prices lower for families.
