Condemns the killing of Honduran environmental and human rights defender Juan López, documents threats to land and water defenders in the Bajo Aguán region, and finds Honduran authorities failed to protect him. Calls for investigation of his murder, supports creation of a national anti‑corruption commission and an international technical/forensic commission to assist investigations, commends Guapinol water defenders, and urges increased U.S. engagement and support for communities defending human rights and democracy in Honduras.
