Improving Seniors’ Timely Access to Care Act of 2025

Requires Medicare Advantage plans to be more transparent and faster when they require prior authorization. Plans must begin publishing annual reports on which services need prior authorization in 2027 and must run electronic prior-authorization systems and follow stronger enrollee-protection rules by 2028. The Department of Health and Human Services can set response-time limits for prior-authorization decisions and will receive regular reports and public data from plans.
