Allows certain religious-worker nonimmigrants (R visa holders) and their qualifying derivatives to remain in the United States while their immigrant visa or adjustment of status application for the special‑immigrant religious worker category is pending, by authorizing DHS to extend their R nonimmigrant status until a final decision. It also updates a statutory cross‑reference to clarify job‑flexibility provisions for long‑delayed special immigrant religious workers and waives the regulation that forced some former R visa holders to wait one year abroad before returning after their five‑year limit expired.
Referred to the House Committee on the Judiciary.
