This bill would ban discrimination in the U.S. military. It says the military can’t use someone’s race, color, where they’re from, religion, or sex—including gender identity, sexual orientation, or sex characteristics—when deciding who can join or how to treat people who are serving. It also requires all military policies to give everyone equal treatment and opportunity, regardless of those traits.
