It documents federal laws banning pay discrimination, summarizes data on how much less Black women earn versus White, non‑Hispanic men, lists causes (childcare gaps, harassment, scheduling, occupational segregation) and harms, and calls for a multifaceted approach to achieve equal pay. The resolution expresses Congress’s support for equal pay for equal work and reducing the gender wage gap, but does not create new programs or funding.
